Our Story
Real Life Church Fairfield is part of a network of life giving Churches throughout the Northern California region.  Bellow is the brief story about our beginnings and what God has done with Real Life Church so far….

The vision for a church that looks like heaven has been developing in the hearts of our leadership team for years. In July, 2005, the Hagan family moved to the Natomas area of Sacramento and begin to lay the groundwork for Real Life Church, originally known as Mars Hill Community Church. A core group of families began to gather as they learned and embraced the vision, meeting on Thursday nights to plan, learn and grow in relationship. Word spread about an exciting new church about to begin and the core group prepared for opening day.

January 8, 2006 was the official launch date for Real Life Church – Arena Campus, and the morning was historic. As we came together as authentic family, the Spirit of God was present and we celebrated as He changed people’s lives. From that first morning at American Lakes Elementary, we have been blessed to be a part of God’s plan and the redeeming power of His love.

The Yarbrough family had moved back to California, and had been attending Real Life – Arena Campus while a core group was built in Fairfield.  In March, 2007, just 14 months after the opening of our first location, our second campus,
Real Life Church -Fairfield  was born. After 7 years, Pastor Jason & Susan returned to Real Life Church Arena Campus to serve as Executive Pastors, and Pastor Mike & Renee Tadlock were chosen to become the new campus pastors. In 2017 Real Life Church-Fairfield became network Chuurch with Real Life Church and assumed  General Coucnil Church status with the Asemley of God.

Just two years later, in the spring of 2009, our Fairfield Campus gave birth to another ministry. Fairfield Christian School was born with just 26 students. Years later, hundreds of students have benefited from FCS, which continues to be the only dually accredited (WASC & ACTS), preschool-12th grade Christian School in the city of Fairfield.

Apparently God wasn’t done growing RLC, because He was speaking to the hearts of the Seiler family about moving to Galt, CA, and launching our 3rd campus. In May of 2010, Real Life Church – Galt Campus became a reality, with James & Chris Seiler serving as lead pastors. We are currently located in a facility that also serves as a Community Center throughout the week, reaching families with the good news of Jesus.

2014 saw the launch of our 2nd location in Sacramento. Real Life Church – Artisan Campus opened its doors in Northern Sacramento. A unique and beautiful campus, Artisan serves an impoverished area of our city, reaching broken lives with the love of Jesus. The Artisan is also becoming a regional center, featuring educational opportunities, arts & theater, as well as a functioning cafe.

We also were excited to launch our first out-of-state campus in 2014. Anthem of Hope, led by pastors Daniel & Jackie Groves, is located in Columbus, Ohio, near Ohio State University. Pastor Daniel is a gifted worship leader, and our services at Anthem are characterized by a strong move of God’s presence in worship.

Ever expanding by God’s grace, we launched our 2nd school. Natomas Christian School is a sister campus to our school in Fairfield, and is the only Christian School in this area of Sacramento. Led by Principal Kelvin Jackson, we were blessed to open the doors with 75 students and are excited to see what God has planned in the future.

As 2016 dawned, it saw us adopting a church in Orland, CA. Newly renovated and renamed, Real Life Church – Orland Campus is the newest member of our RLC Family of Churches. Under the leadership of Pastor Jason and Dolores Ross, we’re excited for what God has in store for this small community located on the I-5 corridor in northern California!
