2006
The vision for a church that looks like heaven has been developing in the hearts of our leadership team for years. In July, 2005, the Hagan family moved to the Natomas area of Sacramento and begin to lay the groundwork for Real Life Church, originally known as Mars Hill Community Church. A core group of families began to gather as they learned and embraced the vision, meeting on Thursday nights to plan, learn and grow in relationship. Word spread about an exciting new church about to begin and the core group prepared for opening day.
January 8, 2006 was the official launch date for Real Life Church – Arena Campus, and the morning was historic. As we came together as authentic family, the Spirit of God was present and we celebrated as He changed people’s lives. From that first morning at American Lakes Elementary, we have been blessed to be a part of God’s plan and the redeeming power of His love.
2009
Just two years later, in the spring of 2009, our Fairfield Campus gave birth to another ministry. Fairfield Christian School was born with just 26 students. Years later, hundreds of students have benefited from FCS, which continues to be the only dually accredited (WASC & ACTS), preschool-12th grade Christian School in the city of Fairfield.

We also were excited to launch our first out-of-state campus in 2014. Anthem of Hope, led by pastors Daniel & Jackie Groves, is located in Columbus, Ohio, near Ohio State University. Pastor Daniel is a gifted worship leader, and our services at Anthem are characterized by a strong move of God’s presence in worship.
2016
As 2016 dawned, it saw us adopting a church in Orland, CA. Newly renovated and renamed, Real Life Church – Orland Campus is the newest member of our RLC Family of Churches. Under the leadership of Pastor Jason and Dolores Ross, we’re excited for what God has in store for this small community located on the I-5 corridor in northern California!
